Shop Tour
Update: Here are a few pics of the new Fadal TRM.
In order to fit the new mill, the shop had to take on a major renovation and addition. Where the mill
currently resides used to be where the cars were parked. To the right of the mill you can see the grinding room
which was along one of the outside walls.

All of my knives are made via the stock removal process.
All blades are hollow ground and blade finish is accomplished via
hand sanding up to 2500 grit. All of my blades receive an excellent
heat treat by an aerospace heat-treating firm here in the northwest
that understands exotic alloys. I employ high-tech stainless steels
and Titanium in the construction of most of my knives. Occasionally
I will use A-2 or D-2 tool steels on request. If Damascus is to be
used for blade material, I use Devin Thomas and Tom Ferry Damascus
steel. I select handle material for beauty and durability, and
select the most appropriate material for the knife at hand.
